27 Aug 2010I miss seeing the acronym YUL… and this adrenalin of knowing that i’m about to be part of the priviledged young women in the world who get to embark within big metallic birds and land somewhere where the smell is different, the people speak in other type of sonorities and the environment is unknown. Travelling with family or a group is much different than travelling with nobody but your shadow. It is an experience which will make you feel so free and fearless.
I miss seeing the acronym YUL… and so, to forget this sad tingly thought…I do my best to take care of other business; learning something new everyday, trying a new action, creating and praying. These are my recipe for resilience. If not, I would be very, very unhappy with myself as i’ve had a very hard time reintegrating north american society since my ethnographical humanitarian trips. I still have images of little orphans only needing of love, elders looking for a way to survive and youth looking desperately for a way to grow…and these images won’t shut down sometimes very late at night. I find myself watching shocking international documentary videos until the sun comes up.
I miss seeing the acronym YUL…so much. On another train of thought, I can imagine Richard Brandson saying to himself…”Hmm…I need my own plane! Let’s do Virgin Airways”
